How Ascension Meditation can Help Improve Your Sleep
Ascension helps deal with the underlying stresses and tensions that most often cause sleep problems. It helps calm your whole system and can help you achieve deeper, more refreshing sleep. Ascend before you go to bed as part of your evening routine. You can also Ascend if you wake at night.
Ascenders report being less bothered by thoughts, busy minds and tiredness. As little as 20 minutes can help you feel rejuvenated and rested. But Ascension is not about sleep – it impacts the whole of your life.
Studies of people who have learnt Ascension have showed that people who Ascend are are less bothered by thoughts, many people report feeling less anxious, and experiencing deeper rest.
What is Ascension Meditation?
Ascension teaches us how to let go of the drama and conflicts of the ego mind and move beyond it into the field of peace, love, and joy.
Ascension is unique. It is a powerful, practical tool that can be used by anyone. It is the key to unlock the majesty and beauty of what it means to be truly alive. Just beyond the thinking mind exists a field of infinite Peace, unlimited Joy, and unconditional Love. It is the field of pure consciousness. Accessing this field is not hard.
You do not need to believe in anything to benefit from Ascension, nor do you need to struggle or force yourself to focus or make an effort to “get it right”. Ascension is simply about your experience when you are meditating.
I can’t meditate! I have a busy mind that won’t switch off!
Most of us thought that. We usually think we can’t meditate as we can’t sit still for long or can’t clear our minds. With Ascension, you don’t need to. Thoughts are a natural part of life, and you cannot control them. Sometimes, our minds are still. Other times, they are busy. It is fine either way.
Thoughts are a natural part of life and there is no need to stop your thoughts. You simply observe them, As you watch them, you begin to get less involved with them, and you start to treat them like clouds in sky, and let them pass through.
Learn to Meditate with your Eyes Open
You can use Ascension with your eyes open as well as closed. You can meditate as you walk around, at work, and even when interacting with others. Using it as you work can help you focus and be less distracted.
Learning Ascension Meditation
Ascension is an oral tradition and is only taught in person, this means that you cannot learn it on line or from a book. Ascension is taught in person as you get a more in-depth experience this way.
The beginners course, called The First Sphere, is usually taught by two teachers over a weekend at an Ascenders or Teachers house. It runs Friday evening, then during the day, Saturday and Sunday. You will meet other Ascenders and teachers. It is very relaxed – we sit on comfortable chairs and sofas to meditate.
You can repeat The First Sphere as often as you want for free. You only pay once.
